Shawn Werley, Children's Director

Shawn Craft Werley was born and raised in Baytown, Texas and grew up in Cedar Bayou Baptist Church having attended here since she was a young child.  She accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 32, by Dr. Mark Broussard on her birthday, October 31.  As an adult she started out volunteering in the Women’s Ministry.  She started volunteering in the Children’s Department in 2016 and became Children’s Director in 2019.

She married her best friend, Greg Werley in 2010 at Cedar Bayou Baptist with Brother Mark conducting the service.   They have 2 wonderful children Jackson Craft born in 1993 and Gregory Werley Jr. born in 2010.  Their family increased in 2018 with a beautiful daughter in law, Kaitlyn Kolarik Craft.

Shawn loves to spend time with her family.  She likes to plan gatherings, watch and play sports, gardening, and loves to be surrounded by children of all ages.  Her vision in the Children’s Ministry is to mold and shape children’s lives to accept Jesus as their Savior and to rely on Him.
